Principal Cheryl Yates's office at Patuxent Elementary School is plastered with yellow smiley faces -- stickers and posters, pillows and plush, cups and straws, even a smiley-face trash can. Hundreds of smiling yellow faces. At least a thousand, teachers estimate.
